Projects From Squam
Here are two paintings I made in Sarah Ahearn's workshop at Squam. I enjoyed Sarah's class very much, and was surprised I was able to complete two paintings during the class. The top painting is me (belly sticking out) and sister (tow head) when we were little. I love this photo and learned how to make a photo transfer in the class. Super cool technique Sarah taught us. Second painting was a game Sarah had us played, and please with how the painting turned out in the short amount of time we were allotted.
Can't express how much I enjoyed squam, and how much I miss everything about it even the drafty cabins. Will post what I made in Christine Mason Miller's and Marisa Haedike's class Make a Book in A Day later.

Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! I want to take Sarah's class next year. I echo your sentiments about enjoying and missing Squam.
ReplyDeletei love your paintings! "in the time allotted" is an understatement! did you almost burst into flames like i wanted to? it was so nice to meet you and actually have 2 classes with you! you are very insightful and wonderful. what a week, eh? Linda E
ReplyDeleteHi Mix It Up Neighbor!
ReplyDeleteI think your pieces were my favorites from the class :) I am finding myself itching to re-create that atmosphere and the energy of the timed exercise ... for some reason piles of things (laundry, cleaning, art supplies) seem to get in my way. Re-entry has been hard.
I hope we can stay in touch. I love your work here! So much like you ♥
